The recruitment is made by various Zonal Railways and Production Units individually. This organization is one amongst the Production Units of Indian Railways. There are two types of recruitment, i.e.
i) Open advertisement and
ii) Talent scouting.
In so far as the quota allotted to Open advertisement recruitment is concerned, there could be maximum five appointments in Group D and ten in Group C category of posts As and when the recruitment process is set in motion, the advertisement notice shall be given in the Employment News or Rozgar Samachar published weekly by the DAVP of the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting. No proforma for submitting application has been specified by the Railway Board or this administration. As and when recruitment notice is issued, the proforma shall be devised and notified appropriately. The age limits, educational qualifications, sports qualifications, the closing date for submission of applications along with other details for example fee and its mode of payment and the game (with or without specific requirements) shall be inserted in the said employment notice.
As regards Talent Scouting Quota, there shall be three (Maximum) appointments in Group C (apart from two posts in Group C under Railway Sports Promotion Board’s quota). . For this recruitment, no formal advertisement notice is issued. The sports persons having outstanding sports achievements are given appointments only after trial. No specific proforma for submitting application has been devised.
